Hi Bill Years ago I bought There were signs having never heard your music but thiking if people like Rob Mounsey were involved it would be cool. What a understatement-it was one of those records that you just played and played. Thanks for the great music and looking forward to the new record when it's ready.

04nov27As a musician, composer, sound designer --most active as such in 80's, early 90's-- came across your music listening to KTWV (the WAVE) in LA. I had a direct line into the studio and sometimes in the early A.M. I'd call in to Amy Hyatt and chat...or ask "...what in the world was THAT..". One such call was about "Cape Horn". Your music is in many ways like my own -- very emotional. Thanks for putting up the .mp3's. I'll look for the album on Amazon/Ebay.Looks like you're touring in South America. Much happiness, success and safe trip!--DSPS:Barest beginnings at (finally!) putting up much of my varied-spectrum professional experience on my website ...some of the music referred to above, to come.

Dear Bill,We just returned from a visit to Argentina. The highlight for us was hearing you perform in Burruyacu! We were mesmerized (except for the gabacho calling for sing-alongs. How would you sing along to "The Three Levels of Nigeria" anyway?!!) We always look forward to more Bill Gable.C. Martin

Bill!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow....I too thought that ma and my family were the only ones who loved you!!! My Dad discovered you on the radio years ago and we have had you in the family ever since. You are a staple of my childhood. Every time I listen to "there were signs" I am whisked back to days when my dad drove us around in the Honda with the windows down and you echoing through the speakers. We are true fans of you and would love to see youon tour!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for many fond memories and for adding to the memories of my past.

What an honor to sign the G-U-E-S-T-B-O-O-K right after JIMMY HASLIP! WOW! I was so pleased to find this website. I bought "There Were Signs" when it was released and always enjoyed listing to it tremendously. I became aware of it due to the fact that Rob Mounsey produced it, whom I loved with the Flying Monkey Orchestra and his works with Michael Franks and Steely Dan. I look forward to hearing more great music from you, Bill. Remember, you biggest fan outside the US is from Berlin/Germany!

Mr Gable, I am glad to find this site...Like others here, I thought I was alone in loving your music. When I went through a bad relationship awhile ago a friend turned me onto Intimate Strangers and Leaving Venice to the Rain. I Have a copy of There Were Signs and now that I know that there are other CDs out there my X-mass list just got longer. Recently feelings for that relationship have reared there ugly head and I find myself yearning for Intimate Strangers. I hope that it will be on one of your new Cds. If not please advise me where to get a copy of you performing this wonderful song. Thanks for the songs that help put things in perspective. Phil La Jeunesse

I was in high school when I found THERE WERE SIGNS at a dollar store. I'm 30 now, and I wake up to this CD every day. I listen to it all morning - sometimes twice. I went online today to see if I could email Bill to thank this brilliant artist for making music for us and express my disgust that he is so undervalued. Imagine my surprise when I found fans! I assumed no one had heard of him. What else was I to think about a guy whose CD sold for a few dollars so long ago? Anyone considering a purchase should take the plunge. THERE WERE SIGNS is amazing. I can't wait to wake up tomorrow knowing so many other people can have as wonderful and peaceful a morning as I do.

Mr. Gable... Was diverted here via your friend Robert Lamm. I'm an old believer in birds of a feather, and as his musical sugestions have not failed me as of yet, I'll begin my search for your works today. If anyone out there can give me a few pointers or suggestions on where I can find these seemingly hard to find items, it would be appreciated. cheers! dennis

Hey Bill, I was just thinking...Lee Ritenour was at his best when he had singers vs. only instrumental. Your cool guitar and his? I could envision some interesting music being made between the two of you...just a thought. (Actually, I'd like to hear a good album from him again and thought you could do it!) BTW, could you type in some messages to us from time to time? Take care!!

Seems like only yesterday that I was in a music store in Houston... Some seriously nice music was playing. After about two seconds, I asked who it was..."Bill Gable" was the answer... The album "There Were Signs" is one of the most beautiful , I have ever heard in my life ... Can't wait to hear the others... Like Autumn at the beach, I can't understand why, no one else was there... So these people who have written you must also be special... They hear the magic...
