Bill is not presently touring while he is UCLA Live Presents an All-Star Tribute to Legendary Singer-Songwriter Leonard Cohen, led by Vocalist Perla Batalla, Feb. 24 Grammy-nominated vocalist and former Leonard Cohen backup singer Perla Batalla leads an illustrious lineup of artists in "The Gospel According to Leonard Cohen," a very special UCLA Live concert showcasing the inspirational side of the celebrated singer-songwriter, at 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 24, 2007, at Royce Hall on the UCLA campus. Confirmed featured artists include Batalla, Jackson Browne, Michael McDonald, Howard Tate, Bill Gable, Bill Frisell, Robben Ford and Julie Christensen, plus other surprise guests (final lineup subject to change). The band will comprise Don Was on bass; Mike Elizondo Jr., bass; Vinnie Colaiuta, drums; Greg Leisz, guitar; Debra Dobkin, percussion and backup vocals; Karen Hammack, piano; and musical director Steve Weisberg. The program will be announced from the stage. The performance will run approximately two hours, with one intermission.
